Trout Adventure
Our little trout have done all the growing they can with us. It is time for them to move on to their next adventure: Wilson's Ponds. Some were more excited than others to go. Watch the video to see what I mean.
Be sure to read these amazing farewell poems written by 5th graders.

Farewell 5th Graders
Fifth graders:
There are so many things I didn't get to say to you before this year ended! I love the creative spirit of your class! You are a group that I will always remember as one that is independent, driven, and expressive! You are actors, writers, leaders, and engineers! There wasn't a day during the three years that many of us shared that you didn't make me smile. You always pushed me to learn more and try new things just to keep up with you. I have loved learning with you. Good luck as you move on.
Enjoy a compilation of videos and photos taken from the last 3 years. Whether you were a part of our class for 1, 2, or 3 years - I am thankful for the time I had to get to know each and every one of you!

An Independent Research Project
One of our 3rd graders compiled some research to help us better understand why we are at home instead of at school. Thanks Emma!

All Shook Up
One of our 3rd Grade GT students was inspired by our recent earthquake. She wondered what causes earthquakes. She is sharing her learning with all of you. Thanks Emma!

Squid Dissection
4th graders expanded their knowledge of adaptations and anatomy by dissecting their own squid! See them with their scalpels (scissors), probes (toothpicks), and squid brains in the video below.
A HUGE thank you to Mrs. Duerksen, Mrs. Thompson, and all of our parent volunteers!

Debating with Ridgevue Debate Students
A Huge Thank You to Ridgevue Debate students!
Our 5th graders had a wonderful opportunity to participate in a congressional debate with several students from the debate team. 5th graders were able to participate in the mock legislative assembly and debate on a proposed law - to ban competitive food-eating competitions. Our students did an amazing job and made some very valid points! Check out some snippets of the activity in the video below.2/27/20
The Real Candy Caper
The GT class was in for a shock this week when someone stole our AirHead Candy from the classroom. Luckily, our 3rd graders are sleuths! To find out "Who-dunnit", watch the video!

Lights. Camera, STOP Motion
5th graders were screen writers and movie directors today as they had the task of telling a didactic story (a movie with a moral). Their claymation movies couldn't have speaking - the visual story may have sound effects or music. Take a moment and enjoy these didactic stories!

Odes
Oh odes, oh dramatic exaggerated odes!
How over the top and creative you are!
4th graders wrote some very create odes (inspired by Valentine's Day). Check out their creative appreciation of an object they love!
